Elementary Students Have Gym Class Everyday!

Make sure your child has tennis shoes for gym class each day. They may not be able to participate in PE if they do not have the proper athletic shoes. You may send them to school and your child may change for gym class, or they may wear them to school.

We are in our first full week of school. Don't forget to check your child's classroom blog nightly for class news and homework assignments!

School Picture Day

School pictures will be taken the first day of school for grades 1-12. Pre-K and Kindergarten picture day will be announced at a later date!

First Day of School

The first day of school for grades 1-12 is Thursday, August 18th. Pre-K and Kindergarten will begin on Monday, August 22nd. Class will begin at 8:05 AM and end at 3:05 PM. Students riding the vans and buses will dismissed at 2:50PM.

Please make sure your child is not absent, if at all possible, this week. They will need to get plenty or rest, eat a good breakfast and arrive at school on time. Testing will not occur all day, but will occur at certain times during each day of the week.

The Taste of Summersville was a Success!

Thank you to the restaurants, vendors, volunteers, and participants. The 20th Annual Taste was a huge success!

Please remember to pass out the Winning Partner Cards from Nicholas Pharmacy to your friends and family. Nicholas Pharmacy will donate $5 to NLCA for every transferred or new prescription they recieve with our Winning Partner Card. Don't forget to write your child's grade on the back of the card to help them win a pizza party for the class with the most cards received.
