Physical Education Class Requirements

Physical Education Classes will be held five days a week for elementary students.  Please be sure to provide gym shoes or make sure your child wears tennis shoes.  Students will not be permitted to participate in PE if they are not wearing the proper shoes.

Secondary Students will have gym class two days a week and will need to dress properly for the class.  Every student will need comfortable clothes, that are within the parameters of the dress code.  (Examples of gym clothes are:  sweat pants, tee shirts, cotton shorts, etc...).  You will also need tennis shoes.  You do not have to have a separate pair of shoes for gym class.  You are permitted to wear tennis shoes that you wear on a daily basis.

Finally, please remember to bring deodorant or other hygiene products that you may need to assure you are prepared to complete the school day after gym class.

We look forward to a fun year in PE as we welcome the new PE Teacher, Mr. Kent Hall.

Reminder for all 7th & 12th  Grade Students:

West Virginia State Law requires all students entering the 7th and 12th grade to have the following immunizations, (as well as immunizations that are required to begin school in West Virginia).  Please take a moment to make sure your 7th  and/or 12th  Grader has had at least one dose of Tdap and one dose of the meningitis (MCV4) vaccine.  We need an updated shot record in the main office by September 2nd for each student.

Thank you for your help and cooperation in making sure
NLCA is following state standards.
