Your Homecoming Luncheon at Fujiyama's will be held on Thursday, February 18.  Please bring a note giving you permission to ride school transportation.  We are looking forward to a wonderful celebration!  Go Lions!!

2 Hour Early Dismissal Today (2-8-16)

Two-hour early dismissal today, February 8, 2016.  During early dismissals we try to get as much academic time as possible.  Please pick your child up at the designated time of dismissal to avoid classroom interruptions.  Thank you so much for your cooperation.

The Boys Basketball Game at the Civic Center tonight at 9:30 PM is still on schedule.  If the game should get cancelled, we will make an announcement around 5:00 PM this evening.

Circus Tickets

Circus ticket money is due by February 3rd.  If you ordered tickets, please turn your money in at the main office.  Thank you!

Homecoming Winners

The students worked very hard during Spirit Week to win the classroom competitions.  They are very competitive and it shows!  Two winners were announced on Friday night during the homecoming games. The Elementary Winner was the 1st Grade and the Secondary Winner was 11 & 12 Grade! They will be going to lunch as a class, at a restaurant of their choice.  Congratulations!

The Homecoming Court is pictured below.  The King and Queen was crowned on Friday Night in front of a packed gymnasium.  Members of the court were:  Jordan Woods, Reba Kyle, Kameron Lucky, Isabella Campbell, Colton Ferrell, Elleanor Payette, Patrick Baisi, and Madison Fast

Classes will also be in competition this week, leading up to the Pep Rally on Friday.  The Class with the most points will win "Lunch Out" one day to a restaurant of their choice.  Points will be earned from participating in theme days, classroom door decorations, spirit link totals, spirit link chant,  and pep rally participation.

January 12 is a Regular School Day for NLCA

                                                           

January 12, 2016 is a full school day for New Life Christian Academy.  The Nicholas County Public School will have an early dismissal this day.  If your child rides the public bus you will need to make other arrangements for their transportation home.

School Will Resume on Monday, January 4, 2016

• School will resume and the third nine weeks will begin on Monday, January 4, 2016.  Report cards will go home by Friday, January 8. Don't forget that you are able to check your child's progress anytime on MSP. 

• All yearbook orders need to be submitted by January 11.  Yearbooks are $40 each.

• "100" Team Tee Shirts will arrive by the second week of January.  We will send them home as soon as the order arrives.

School will Resume on January 4, 2016

                               

 There will be NO LIONS' DEN on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22!
All students must be picked up by 2:55 PM.  Regular Lions' Den Hours will resume on January 4, 2016.

Tour of the Brown House

The students of NLCA will be walking to the Brown House (directly across from our playground) on December 18 to view the beautiful Christmas Decorations.  We are thankful for the opportunity to explore the festivities of our town.

Friday, December 18, is also "Crazy Christmas Attire" theme day!  Have fun and be festive!
