Thanksgiving Break Begins November 23!

We will return to school on December 2.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.

Summersvile Police Department Partners With NLCA

Monday morning, the Summersville City Police, along with Mayor Shaffer, gathered our students in the gymnasium to cut a ribbon welcoming city police officers to NLCA.  Mayor Shaffer has put a county wide policy in effect that provides all schools the opportunity to allow police officers to use an area as a sort of office space.  As the Mayor explained, "All children need to feel safe." Police Chief, Jay Nowak addressed the students by saying, "Police officers are your friends."  Each student was presented with a water bottle from the Mayor and the Policemen that visited.  This is an exciting opportunity for our school.

Friday, October 4th at 10:00 AM

NLCA will host our annual Grandparent's Day Celebration on Friday, October 4th, beginning at 10:00 AM.  We will have a student program followed by lunch.  Children will be dismissed after the celebration to go home with their grandparents.  Feel free to send a grandparent representative if your child's grandparent is not able to attend; as always, parents are welcome!   We will be sending home RSVP cards.  Please make sure those are returned so that we can plan accordingly.  Thank you!
