The First Nine Weeks has Ended

Report Cards were sent home this week, and the second nine weeks has begun!

Don't forget that you can access your child's grades anytime online.  Simply go to menu/forms on the main web page and click the link to MSP.

The Christmas Play will be held on Friday, December 11 at 10:00 AM and at 7:00 PM.  Please note the date change and mark your calendars! Students are required to attend both performances.

On Friday, October 23, there will be NO public bus transportation in the afternoon.  Nicholas County Schools will be observing an early out.  New Life Christian Academy will have a regular day of school.  Please make arrangements for transportation home if you ride the public bus.  Thank you!

Essay Contests Available for Secondary Students

                                  
Students in grades 7 - 10 have the opportunity to enter a Pro-Life essay contest.  Winners of the contest could receive $100, $200, or $250 in prize money by writing an essay addressing the question, "What can I do to build a pro-life generation?" 


High School Students are invited to submit an essay or video about the dangers of drinking and driving or underage alcohol use.  The winning school will be invited to help film a public service announcement that will be televised across the state.  Grand Prize is $5000, 2nd place is $2500 and 3rd place wins $1000.  All prize money is funded by State Farm and the prize money must be used for a school sanctioned event.

County Literature Fair is October 12, 2015

Students that qualified for the Nicholas County Literature Fair will be going to Summersville Middle School on Monday, October 12.  They will travel by bus and return to school by 1:30 Monday afternoon.  You must return your child’s permission slip before Monday morning in order for them to participate.

Set up for County Fair … Sunday, October 11 … 2:00-4:00 PM
Pick up of Projects … Monday Evening

NLCA Literature Fair is Friday, Oct. 2nd

The school literature fair will be held on Friday, October 2nd.  Students are to bring their projects to set up that morning, and they will bring them home that afternoon.  The fair is a one day event.  Judging will begin at 8:30 AM and will end at 1:00 PM.

Grandparent's Day is this Friday

Grandparent's Day will be celebrated on Friday, September 25.

We will begin in the new gym at 10:00 and lunch will be served immediately after the classroom presentations.  School will dismiss at Noon on Friday. 

There is no Lions' Den or Evening Bus on Grandparent's Day!

There will be no chapel this week.
