BOX TOP COLLECTIONS

We are busy collecting box tops again! This year our competitions will be between classes as well as for the “top collector”.  It is exciting for the students to watch their totals rise, and it benefits NLCA in so many ways.  We thank you for helping us earn cash for our school!

 September Competition

The competition for this month will end on September 30th.  The winning class will receive a special Surprise Gift Bag for each student and will also receive Special Recognition at the first chapel in October!  This is a prize unlike no other we have given for our competitions.  So, start clipping those box tops!

Please remember to return your Free and Reduced Lunch forms.  Applications were sent home with every student and need filled out  so that we can make sure everyone that qualifies will receive it. You must fill out new forms at the beginning of every school year.  We would like to have them  returned by September 6th.  Thank you!

NLCA Welcomes Ms. Vicki Caldwell

New Life Christian Academy would like to welcome Ms. Vicki Caldwell to our teaching staff.  Ms. Caldwell will be teaching Art Class on Tuesday, Wednesday, and half a day on Thursday.
Each class, grades Pre-K through 11 will have an art class at least one time per week.  Secondary students will have two classes per week.  The art room has returned to the new gym loft, and the students have already begun their first week of classes!

Among many other things, the students will be learning art history, many art forms, and even set design (for our annual Christmas Program).  We are blessed to have Ms. Caldwell join our team of dedicated educators.  She has been teaching art since 1985, and she has devoted much of her life to Christian Education.  We look forward to showcasing the student's artwork during our Grandparent's Day Celebration, as well as on the bulletin board in the main hallway.  In the next few weeks, be sure to stop by and see what they are learning.

Back to School Information

The Staff of New Life Christian Academy is looking forward to a great new school year!  Over the summer many changes have been made to our school.  The projects included upgrading the foyer area, hallways, teachers’ lounge, all the offices, as well as a few other face lifts to the campus.  We would like to take a moment to thank all of the generous donors.  The renovation project began when a local businessman offered to re-carpet our main building for free.  This sparked a fire storm of generosity that inspired others to step forward and donate themselves and resources needed for everything else.  People volunteered hundreds of hours to rip out old carpet, move office furniture/cabinets, and complete the painstaking task of painting walls and trim work.  We rely on the generosity of so many to run the school on a day to day basis and without these designated donations we would not have been able to update our campus.  We pray blessings over those that gave and worked selflessly to see the changes come to life.
We would like to welcome you to come and see the changes during our Annual Open House.  It will be this Friday, August 16th from 3-6 PM.
You can also show your children their classrooms, get to know the staff and of course, some of you will be able to visit with old friends.

The first day of school for students in grades 1-12 is Monday, August 19th.
Pre-K and Kindergarten will begin on Wednesday, August 21 .

Don’t forget to access our website at www.nlca.info for news and calendars.  You can also find school supply lists there.

We look forward to seeing you all soon!
