October 11, 2016 is a very special day for our students!  We will be having a School- Wide DROP EVERYTHING AND READ Day!  DEAR day will follow our school literature fair, celebrating the hard work the students have put into their projects.  On this day, students are encouraged to dress comfortably, bring in a pillow, a blanket or anything else that would make them cozy while curled up to read a book!  They may even want to bring a few snacks, but don’t forget a few GOOD BOOKS! 

Teachers have planned to give time for individual reading, reading aloud, computer based reading and many other fun ways to enjoy a good book.  Teachers also have books available if your child does not have any books of their own. 

If you would like to volunteer to read aloud on October 11, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible.  We are looking forward to a fun day of reading!
